I don't usually photograph newborns, but when I do get asked, I can't say no! I love little ones and photographing their little details.
The star of this photoshoot was newborn Mackenzie! She was a little to old for newborn photography, since most photographers—myself included—recommend scheduling the session within the first two weeks. After that, babies often become more alert, fussier, and their appearance starts to change. After two weeks, I call them an "old born!" HA
Fortunately, we had Aubrey there to supervise. She takes her duties as an older sister very seriously. So, she remained busy watching over her newborn baby sister throughout the session. Occasionally, I have to coax siblings into loving poses like the ones you see here. In this particular case, though, Aubrey needed very little encouragement from me.
